ReSource partners with young professionals to make a difference

ReSource, a local nonprofit that helps area businesses repurpose corporate surplus to help qualified nonprofits purchase those items at a 70-90 percent discount, kicked off its second annual ReSource On-The-Rise program on June 8, 2017, at the Children’s Hospital Herald Building. On-The-Rise matches young professionals from various industries with select local non-profits in order to utilize their skills and enthusiasm to advance the mission and vision of non-profit organizations in the greater Cincinnati area.

This year’s program pairs young professionals with the following partner agencies: Cancer Family Care, Health Care Connection, Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Ohio Cleats for Kids.

The YPs will work with these agencies on planning an upcoming event for each.
ReSource is excited to welcome the following young professionals to On-The-Rise: Ryan Pauley (USI Insurance), Katherine Devora (USI Insurance), Joshua Schroer (US Bank), Jonathan Stanwyck (US Bank), Aaron Senich (TriHealth), Meghan Jones Dick (TriHealth), Chris Quigley (Messer Construction), Tim Schirmann (Messer Construction), Kristina Wilber (The Christ Hospital), Patrick Rodriguez (The Christ Hospital), Sarah Edwards (The Christ Hospital), Ashley Clos (The Christ Hospital), Katie McDermot (CBRE), Page Natoli (Phillips Edison), John Strittholt (Deloitte & Touche), and J.B. Bernhard (Cushman Wakefield).

On-The-Rise is co-chaired by ReSource board members Katie Schneider and Justin Hartfiel. The program runs until October, and culminates with the YPs attending ReSource’s annual gala.

“We were extremely pleased with the level of interest and commitment from the young professionals in this program,” said Christie Brown, ReSource Executive Director. “Connecting a young professional with one of our nonprofit member agencies is a great opportunity to make a very positive impact in service to our community."
